Love fixing bikes? Want to work with a team that rides, gets it, and has your back?
We’re on the hunt for a skilled, reliable Bike Technician to join our service team at Bike House. Whether you’re building up a dream ride or bringing an old favourite back to life, you’ll help deliver the kind of service that makes riders feel stoked — and safe — every time they roll out the door.
About the Role
As a Bike Technician, you’ll be responsible for servicing customer bikes, building new bikes, and supporting our retail team with pre- and post-sale technical support. You’ll work in a purpose-built service area, with the tools, systems, and team to do things properly.
You’ll get hands-on with everything from kids' bikes and commuters to high-end mountain bikes and e-bikes. It’s a fast-paced role with a big impact — and we’re after someone who takes pride in doing the job right.
You’ll Be Great In This Role If You:
-
Have at least 1 year of experience working in a bike workshop or service environment
-
Know your way around drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and e-bike systems (or are willing to learn)
-

-
Are passionate about bikes, riding, and delivering quality

Now Hiring: Technical Service Manager
Location: Dunedin, New Zealand
Type: Full-time
Love bikes? Love leading a team that delivers exceptional service?
We’re looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of our service department at Bike House — someone who thrives in a busy, quality-driven workshop and knows how to keep things running smoothly while keeping the stoke high.
About the Role
As our Technical Services Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of the workshop — balancing technical work with scheduling, quality control, customer support, and team development.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll be on the tools for a significant portion of the week — especially during busy periods. But this isn’t just a senior tech position. Your real value lies in how you lead the team, improve systems, and create an exceptional service experience — not just by doing the work, but by ensuring our service department runs smoothly, efficiently, and with a great team culture.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has solid technical experience with bikes and components (including e-bikes)
-
Has led or coached a team before (formally or informally)
-
Understands the commercial side of service — time, labour, parts, and process
-
Communicates clearly and calmly — with customers, teammates, and suppliers
-
Wants to grow in a business that values people, progress, and the ride
Why Bike House?
We’re a purpose-driven bike shop that believes in sharing the stoke, doing right by our community, and always finding ways to ride better. We have a separate, dedicated service centre and are committed to exceptional technical service that leads to great experiences on the bike for our community.
